In 2005 I was inspired to begin writing a book that became a fulfillment of my dreams. As a Civil War historian, I had always been interested in the personal stories of the men and women of the Civil War era. My search for their personal stories led me on a journey that ignited a passion and fire in my heart that continues today. I became convicted through my research that the stories of these courageous people of faith and courage must be told.
